Quitality Mortal Kombat 11: What is it?

Quitality Mortal Kombat 11 is a returning mechanic for the series that pokes fun at players too tilted to finish their online matches. The effect is as gory as anything else in the game, making truncated matches as satisfying as the full ones. Here's what it is.

Quitality Mortal Kombat 11: What is it?

Quitalities are a play on the standard Fatality in Mortal Kombat. Rather than being performed by the victor of a match once they've defeated their opponent, Quitalities happen automatically whenever a player quits an online match before it ends.

Quitalities were first introduced to the Mortal Kombat series in Mortal Kombat X, and they return much the same.

Rather than simply end the match as most games would when a player leaves, Mortal Kombat 11 triggers a Quitality. While there are a few different variations, the most common Quitality appears to be one in which the quitting player's character instantly explodes into a mass of blood and bones. That'll teach them to leave games early.
