Raptor Quest Genshin Impact: How to Complete

"They Call Him Raptor" is the fourth part of Amber's story quest, "Wind, Courage, and Wings" in Genshin Impact.

In the quest, the Traveler learns of Raptor, a criminal from the Treasure Hoarders who is especially skilled at gliding, and volunteers to track him down. Together with Amber, the player must gather clues as to Raptor's whereabouts, and then infiltrate his hideout to defeat him.

Here's a step-by-step guide for how to complete this quest.

You'll receive the "They Call Him Raptor" quest after you complete Amber's first gliding exam. Then, you'll be directed to Springvale, where Raptor was last seen.

Once you're there, use your Elemental Sight to look for shining marks on the ground that might provide clues. After you've gathered all three, investigate the strange noise up ahead that sounds like a battle.

Head to the battle and defeat the two hilichurls attacking Farrah, a fruit merchant. Farrah will tell you where Raptor might have gone, so follow the direction he indicated. On the way, you'll be ambushed by several Treasure Hoarders, so defeat them and keep following the elemental markings to track Raptor.

Soon, you'll arrive at Raptor's hideout, where the elemental markings end. Pick your favorite team to enter the domain.

The first challenge in the domain requires you to glide in the air and drop bombs onto hilichurls to defeat them. Use the air currents to keep yourself afloat, and use your Elemental Skill to drop bombs. Continue through the domain until you've defeated all the hilichurls. Once you're done, Amber will join your team as a free trial character if you don't already have her.

In the next location, use Amber to shoot the hilichurl above you, and you'll be able to proceed. You'll enter a room filled with water with two power sources on the walls. Use Amber to shoot the power sources, and the water will drain, allowing you to open the door.

In the next room, you'll need to use Amber (or another archer) to defeat several hilichurl archers stationed above you. Aim at the explosive barrels to deal large blasts of damage. Several slimes will also spawn on the ground, so use a melee character to defeat those if you wish.

After you're done, interact with the mechanism to create a wind current, and glide to your next destination. Defeat two hilichurls to open a door, and then glide to the platform below to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene, glide across the chasm to the other side. You'll enter a fight with Raptor and his Treasure Hoarder buddies.

Defeat them, and you'll have completed the domain. Collect the chest and head back to the Mondstadt cathedral, where Amber will be waiting with your gliding license.
