Three more teams, yet to be announced, will receive invitations to ESL One Cologne, leaving the remaining four spots to teams who qualify through tournaments in North America, Europe and Asia.
Renegades earned its place at last year's ESL One Cologne with a victory at the North American qualifier. It went on to place ninth-12th, losing to MIBR and BIG in group stages.
The 16 teams playing at ESL One Cologne 2019 will compete at the LANXESS-Arena, known as the Cathedral of Counter-Strike, for their share of a $300,000 prize pool. The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 3-8.
