Respawn is Investigating Bugged Knockdown Shields in Apex Legends

Apex Legends players frustrated with being shot through their Knockdown Shields will be getting some relief soon.

Apex Legends Season 6 has seen its fair share of bugs and exploits. Rampart alone has been able to access vaults without keys and shoot through Gibraltar shields with Sheila.

One frustratingly persistent bug has to do with Knockdown Shields. Sometimes, it seems, they just don't work. Players can hold the shield up, but enemy bullets just shoot right through. Many players have met their demise thanks to faulty Knockdown Shields.

The good news is Respawn Entertainment is aware of the issue. Their Trello board keeps track of all types of upcoming updates — from general updates to bug fixes. On Thursday, a developer added "getting shot through knockdown shield" to the list of items that Respawn is currently investigating.

It is still unknown, however, exactly when this fix will be coming. It has yet to be tagged as "coming in a future patch." That being said, Knockdown Shields haven't had issues like this in the past. Hopefully Respawn will be able to get the fix out sooner than later.

For now, Apex Legends players will have to compete assuming their Knockdown Shields won't save them.
