Rocket League Haunted Hallows 2022 Event Revealed

For the sixth time since 2017, Rocket League's annual Haunted Hallows special event will kick off on Oct. 19, Psyonix announced Thursday.

Although the event has called for themed collaborations with Strangers Things, Ghostbusters and DC's Batman Super-Villains, Haunted Hallows VI is titled "Icons of Horror," and features rewards reminiscent of classic horror franchises such as Chucky’s Good Guys Wheels and Leatherface’s Mask Decal.

Throughout the two-week event, players can complete Haunted Hallows Challenges to unlock the following rewards inspired by iconic horror movies:

  • "Snazzy Skull" Topper
  • "Bedeviled" Decal
  • "Chucky Doll" Decal
  • "Good Guys" Wheels
  • "Leatherface's Mask" Decal
  • "Leatherface's Chainsaw" Wheels
  • "Sam's Trick" Decal
  • "Sam's Treat" Wheels
  • "Billy The Puppet" Decal
  • "Jigsaw Blade" Wheels

Players can also earn Golden Pumpkins to unlock Items from the Velocity, Triumph and Auriga Item Series. Golden Pumpkins work just like previous Golden rewards⁠ — complete the Challenge up to five times to earn Golden Pumpkins, then open them in your Inventory to unlock items.

During the event, players will not only be able to head to the Item Shop to pick up the free "Sole Survivor" Player Title, but also a Billy The Puppet Goal Explosion for 800 Credits and six different Horror Villain Players Anthems for 300 Credits each.

The Rocket League Haunted Hallows 2022 event will also bring back two limited-time modes for players to duel it out in the Farmstead (Spooky) Arena. Going live with the event will be Spooky Cube, which features a dynamic pumpkin cube with increased ball speed and random bounces. From Oct. 26 to the end of the event, Haunted Heatseeker will be rotated in, which makes it so that the ball homes in on your opponent's goal, but rockets back toward your own if it hits your opponent's backboard.

Rocket League Haunted Hallows 2022 kicks off on Oct. 19 and ends on Nov. 1.
