Players who purchased Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition on PC can nab themselves a free game.
Following the criticisms for the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, Rockstar have offered PC players a free game from a selection of offerings via their online store. Players can claim one of the following games:
- Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition
- Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition
- Max Payne 3
- LA Noire
- Bully: Scholarship Edition
Alternatively, if these games don't tickle your fancy, players can choose to claim a Great White Shark card for GTA Online or 55 gold bars in Red Dead Online.
The PC versions of the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition have been plagued with issues since their release. Problems with the Rockstar Games Launcher rendered the PC versions unplayable for roughly three days. The Launcher itself was taken offline to be fixed after reports surfaced that hidden files had been discovered by data miners. These included, hidden notes from the developers, and San Andreas's controversial Hot Coffee minigame.
Whether or not this offer is intended to make up for the poor launch of the game has yet to be confirmed. PC players will be able to claim the offer up until Jan. 5, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. ET. The offer will also be available to anyone who purchases the GTA Trilogy on PC by this date.
