Warzone players can now use zip lines alongside their teammates. Players were ecstatic to see this mechanic that went unannounced in the Season Four Reloaded patch that hit live servers yesterday.

Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is live and playable, and with this update a lot of changes came to fruition. One of the biggest changes was this unannounced zip line change that was left out of the patch notes released by developer Raven Software.

Warzone Zipline Mechanic Change

The new zip line change came to light after a clip on the Warzone subreddit posted by u/aur0n showed off the new mechanic that allows multiple players to ride on the zip line at once.

As seen in the clip, all three players were able to get on the zip line after the person in front of them got situated. Prior to the patch, players were required to wait for their teammate or enemy to reach the top before being able to use it themselves. An interaction that previously would take around 20 seconds is now completed in just a few. This means the time for the zip line has been cut down by almost 75%, allowing for players to play more aggressively and more swiftly.

Warzone players have been enjoying this change as evidenced by comments on the same initial Reddit post. User u/dknisle1 said, “That might be the biggest change in the patch. This could be a game changer. Especially at ATC.” ATC refers to the air traffic control tower at the Airport in Warzone, which can only be climbed via zip line. That made it a perfect situation for players who like to take things slowly, camping out and waiting for their opponents to fall around them.

This change also had a huge impact on Rebirth Resurgence. Some buildings, such as Prison Block and Nova 6 Factory, have zip lines to ascend. The roofs of these buildings are common camping locations for squads and now they can be flushed out with simultaneous team pushes, allowing the buildings to be retaken.

Since the patch's release, Warzone developers have confirmed in a tweet that this change was intended and not a glitch. Raven Software has since then updated the patch notes as well.
