Shield Bubble Added to Fortnite

Epic Games added the Shield Bubble to Fortnite in Update 10.20, which arrived on the battle royale's live servers Tuesday. Players can now use the item to generate a bubble that blocks projectiles and explosives, but is permeable by players.

Shield Bubble Added to Fortnite: What You Need to Know

The Shield Bubble is a Rare item that can be found from floor loot, chests, supply drops and vending machines. Once deployed, the Shield Bubble generates a domed shield that extends a few meters in every direction. The generated shield can't be destroyed by any attacks, but it will disappear after 30 seconds.

Fortnite players can also destroy the shield's emitter itself to cause the shield to disappear. The emitter has 400 HP and can only be damaged from within the shield's confines.

The Shield Bubble arrived in Fortnite alongside the Fortnite and Borderlands crossover and a nerf to Turbo Building.
