Pokemon GO players can catch Shiny Exeggcute during the spring event beginning April 9 at 8 am in your local time. Here is everything we know about Shiny Exeggcute and how you can catch it.

The Spring event will continue until April 16 and will feature Exeggcute, Chansey, Mareep, Marill, and Torchic more frequently. On rare occasions, players may also spot Shiny Exeggcute, a flower crown Buneary, and a flower hat Pikachu.

Shiny Exeggcute differs from the regular Exeggcute in that it turns from pink to yellow. The body will be yellow while its leaves turn red. This event will increase your chance of finding Shiny Exeggcute, but because of its rarity, it won't be easy to find and can't be hatched from an egg.

Exeggcute is not the only Shiny Pokemon that has become available in Pokemon GO, though. There are plenty of other Shiny Pokemon and Pokemon variants that can usually be spotted at random or during community events. In most cases, Shiny Pokemon can be hatched, but your probability of hatching one and finding one in the wild is relatively the same. They don't show up on Nearby or Sightings and look normal on your map, so if you see a normal Exeggcute, don't let it go. You might find yourself with a Shiny Pokemon.
