Shiny Torterra Pokemon GO: How to Get

Shiny Torterra Pokemon GO will be available to get during Community Day on Sept. 15. Here's what you need to know to get your hands on a Shiny Torterra.

The next Community Day will feature Turtwig. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 15, Turtwig will have an increased spawn rate, and Shiny Turtwig will also be more common. During the event, there will also be a triple Catch Stardust bonus, and Lures will last three hours. Turtwig is the first form of Torterra, so to get a Shiny Torterra you'll obviously need Shiny Turtwig first.

If you catch or evolve Turtwig during the event, it will also learn an exclusive Community Day move. The move itself has yet to be announced, and whether Turtwig itself will be able to learn it is also unknown.

Shiny Community Day Pokemon appear about once every 25 encounters, so just keep searching and you shouldn't have much trouble finding a Shiny Turtwig to evolve into Torterra. Shiny Turtwig is only slightly more blue than the normal variety, but there will be a sparkle to let you know if you indeed encounter a Shiny.
