Michael 'shroud' Grzesiek has been a fan of Apex Legends since the start, but the game has struggled since its February launch. It was reported that Apex Legends made 74% less in April than it did in February.
Obviously, the game is massively struggling and needs something to kickstart the hype again.
While talking to Dr.DisRespect, shroud believes that when custom games are introduced into Apex Legends, it will "fly."
"It'll be so fun to play that game with a full 20 squads, with good rulesets. If you make the rulesets about kills instead of wins, like it should be in Apex, oh my God, it's going to be fun. I can't wait!"
It's not a bad idea considering the positive feedback Overwatch has received since introducing Overwatch Workshop. Allowing creativity and a fanbase to create masterful works of art is a perfect way to keep a game alive and kicking.
As of now, Respawn Entertainment has made no hints of a custom mode for Apex Legends, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were willing to try anything to save their dying game.
