Silent Hill and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama, and his new studio, Bokeh, have confirmed they're working on a new horror video game with a name that should make players both terrified and excited: Slitterhead.
When is Slitterhead Coming Out?
As the creator of Silent Hill, Siren, Gravity Rush, and many more games, Toyama goes back to his original horror roots with Slitterhead. He emphasizes that he wants players “to feel exhilarated when playing," drawing inspiration from the popular sub-genre known as "death game."
Little has been revealed about Slitterhead, but a teaser trailer and its content could definitely give young children nightmares, turning the body horror and gore up to 11.
Being Bokeh Game Studio’s first game, Toyama is bringing back a member from his past projects to work on the music and soundscapes of Slitterhead, including none other than Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka.
Unfortunately, very little has been announced in terms of Slitterhead's release date or the platforms it will appear on.
