Three-time League of Legends World Championship organization SK Telecom T1 signed five players to its roster for the 2020 League Champions Korea season, the organization announced Tuesday.
SKT, a semifinalist at this year's world championship, announced Tuesday the signing of Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, Choi “Ellim” Ellim, Lee “Gumayushi” Min-hyung, Choi “Kuri” Won-yeong and Kim "Roach" Kang-hui. Canna, Ellim, Gumayushi and Kuri came from SKT's academy program.
We’re excited to announce that Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, Choi “Ellim” Ellim, Lee “Gumayushi” Min-hyung, and Choi “Kuri” Won-yeong are called up to join the roster, along with Kim "Roach" Kang-hui who is joining the team this year.

The quintet of new players will join the returning Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, who has been with SKT since 2013.
Roach spent 2016-2018 on Kongdoo Monster before joining Gen. G for the 2019 season.
The roster upheaval for SKT happens after a rebuilt squad fell just short of the world finals with a 3-1 loss to G2 Esports in the semifinals. One year after SKT missed worlds for the first time since 2014, the team returned to world prominence, but that wasn't enough to stop the team from another makeover. Among those departing were Kim "kkOma" Jeong-gyun, the team's longtime coach.
