The story has come to an end; the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Rise of Skywalker Update has arrived. Coinciding with the release of the the last movie, the update brings new reinforcement units, new planets to fight over, and more. Read on to learn everything coming with the update.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Rise of Skywalker Update: New Units

Coming most prominently in the update are four new reinforcement units. The First order and the Resistance each receive two, the former getting the Sith Infiltrator and First Order Jet Trooper while the latter received the Resistance Gunner and Resistance Spy. Clever players will need to get their hands on them fast to play around with loadouts and learn the most efficient uses of each new unit.

Along with those new units, plenty of sequel trilogy hero units received new skins. Be sure to be on the look out for new looks for Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren, each based on thier latest appearance in the last movie.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Rise of Skywalker Update: New Maps and Celebration Edition

In addition to new units the Rise of Skywalker update also adds a new jungle planet map to both Co-Op and Heroes vs Villains. It's likely that if you missed out on the first few years of Battlefield 2, you may feel a little daunted by all the content you'll have to slog through. But fear not, for along with the update came the release of the game's Celebration Edition, a pack sold for $40 individually or as a $25 upgrade to a previously owned copy of Battlefront 2. Grabbing it not only gives every free content update to the game, but also includes all of the paid Rise of Skywalker content such as the new skins free of charge.
