Starfield Built-In Mods Will Work Just Like Skyrim and Fallout 4

Bethesda

Bethesda revealed on Sept. 13 how its Starfield built-in mod system will work alongside the first major update for the game post-release.

Starfield is the first new IP from Bethesda in many years following in the RPG footsteps of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls franchises. If you're a fan of Bethesda games, you'll feel right at home with Starifeld. Part of the game's post-release cycle has and will be the introduction of mods. The mod community has certainly added life to other Bethesda games and Starfield will be no different. While there are already mods making the rounds, the developer has revealed how built-in mod support will work.

Starfield Built-In Mods Will Work Just Like Skyrim and Fallout 4

"Additionally, we are working on our built-in mod support (Creations) that will work across all platforms similar to what we’ve done with Skyrim and Fallout 4. This full support is planned to launch early next year. Until then, we know our PC community is already very active in the modding space and if you have any feedback on how we can make this better, please let us know. Modding and creating in our games will always be a vital and important part of who we are, and we love seeing the community get off to such a strong start," Bethesda said.

An early 2024 launch date might be disappointing for players, but it'll likely be worth the wait if done correctly.

Starfield Creations Release Date

An early 2024 launch date could mean anything from January to March. Hopefully it doesn't push too far past Q1, but then again Starfield was delayed numerous times. Bethesda fans will be excited no matter what once it arrives considering the possibilities in this new IP.
