Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy spin-off, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, could come with a hefty download size. Here's what you need to know.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a new take on the original Final Fantasy. Developed by Team Ninja, this latest venture aims to bring a more mature and challenging experience to the iconic JRPG.

Players take on the role of Jack Garland, a man hell-bent on destroying Chaos, as the many memes will tell you. Joined by a few companions, the group journeys on to discover their roles as Warriors of Light.

Those who pre-ordered the game have been granted a 72-hour early access period. For the rest, the game officially launches on March 18. According to Twitter account @PlaystationSize, the game has a fairly chunky download size.

What is the Download Size for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin?

The Twitter acccount, which dedicates itself to uncovering the file sizes for upcoming PlayStation games, has revealed that the download size for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin sits at 71.505 GB. This is for PlayStation 5 and without a Day One Patch.

While the size is only for PS5, it's very likely that we can expect a similar size for both the PS4 and Xbox consoles.

Such a sizeable download isn't unheard of for Final Fantasy games. These RPGs have traditionally been on the larger side, with Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade hitting just over 80GB itself.

Regardless, those who are partial to larger games will likely need to clear a bit of space in their system to comfortably fit Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

The game is available now as part of the three day early access period, and launches officially on March 18 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
