It's time to face Chaos. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be receiving a dedicated broadcast at the Tokyo Game Show.

A new Final Fantasy spinoff was revealed during Square Enix's presentation at E3 2021. Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is set to be a new interpretation of the original Final Fantasy game, released back in 1987 for the NES. This modern rework will be taking most of its cues from the more recent Final Fantasy games, with combat set to take place in real-time.

Stranger of Paradise follows a group of characters led by Jack, a man hell-bent on destroying Chaos. While very little has been revealed surrounding the overall story of the new spinoff, many fans are hoping to be given a deeper insight during Square Enix's presentation at the Tokyo Game Show.

Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin to Receive Special Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show

The publisher has confirmed that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be receiving its own dedicated broadcast at the Tokyo Game Show. What exactly will be contained within this broadcast is currently unknown, but we'll likely get a deeper look into some of the game's combat aspects as well as hopefully shedding some more light onto our new characters.

The game is being developed by Team Ninja, perhaps best known for the Ninja Gaiden series as well as Nioh's sequel, Nioh 2. The aim with Stranger of Paradise, though, is seemingly to give the Final Fantasy series a more mature spin, with a focus on more challenging combat similar to some of Team Ninja's other ventures. The game's development team features a lot of Square Enix veterans, including Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima, no doubt intriguing many die-hard fans.

Square Enix's Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin broadcast is set for Saturday, Oct. 2, at 8 a.m. ET (9 p.m. JST).
