Tarountula made its official debut in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on Friday, Nov. 18. Taking trainers into the Galar region, there are over 100 new generation nine Pokémon to catch and explore. Amongst these Pokémon is Tarountula who is known for its spider-like appearance. Catchable in the early stages of the game, here is everything you need to know about Tarountula.
Tarountula Evolution: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Spidops is a Bug-type Pokemon who evolves into its stronger counterpart, Tarountula at Lv. 15. Both of these Pokémon are vulnerable against Fire and Flying-type moves and super-effective against Psychic, Dark, and Grass-type Pokémon.
Tarountula Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Trainers are able to catch Tarountula in the early stages of the game. After trainers acquire their starter Pokémon and battle Lechonk, there will be plenty of opportunities to catch Tarountula on Poco Path. Additionally, Tarountula will appear in the Pokemon League, South Province Area One, South Province Area Two, South Province Area Three, South Province Area Four, and South Province Area Five.
Tarountula Stats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Tarountula's stats are relatively weak having a base stat of 35 HP, 41 ATTK, 45 DEF, 29 SP ATTK, 40 SP DEF, and 20 Speed. Though these stats are not the highest stats when heading into battle, Tarountula abilities can prove to be quite useful.
Its ability, Insomnia, makes it immune to falling asleep during battle and its hidden ability, Stakeout, deals doubles the damage when an opponent switches a new Pokémon in to battle.
