As trainers immerse themselves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they might come across Tatsugiri, the Mimicry Pokémon. Coming in three colors, Tatsugiri is a part of the new generation of Pokémon that roam the Paldea region. From evolution to stats to location, here is everything you need to know about Tatsugiri.

Tatsugiri Evolution: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

While Tatsugiri does not have an evolutionary line, this small Dragon and Water-type Pokémon is unique for its ‘Commander’ ability and different forms: Curly Form, Droopy Form, and Stretchy Form.

In a double battle, if Tatsugiri and the big catfish Pokémon, Dondozo, are on the same team, Tatsugiri will hop into Dondozo’s mouth. Until Dondozo faints, Tatsugiri is protected; rendering it untouchable to any opposing moves.

Though Tatsugiri’s various forms might not make a difference in its own battles, it serves a purpose when teaming up with Dondozo. Not able to attack itself, Tatsugiri will give Dondozo a +2 omni-boost and additional stat boosts when Dondozo uses its ‘Order Up’ move. The stat boost Dondozo receives is based on which form Tatsugiri is.

In its original, Curly form, Tatsugir is Orange, and its relative stat boost for Dondozo is Defense. Its alternate pink, Droopy Form gives Dondozo an attack boost. In its Sketchy form, Tatsugir is yellow and Dondozo will gain a speed boost.

Tatsugiri Stats: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Tatsugiri is most effective when teamed up with Dondozo, so, on its own, its stats are not very promising: 68 HP, 50 ATK, 60 DEF, 120 SP. ATK, 95 SP. DEF, and 82 SPD.

Tatsugiri Location: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Tatsugiri is found, in all forms, only in the Casseroya Lake
