The Higher They Fly Pokemon GO Guide

The Higher They Fly is a special research task in Pokemon GO.

"The Higher They Fly" has been available since Feb. 28, 2021 as the seventh Team GO Rocket Leaders Special Research task. It is divided up into six steps with three quests each, along with rewards.

To be able to enter this special research, players must finish "An Inter-egg-sisting Development," the previous research. Once you have completed it, you can find The Higher They Fly in your list of Special Research tasks.

Here are the six steps, the quests, and rewards list.

Step One

  • Win a Raid for 15 PokéBalls
  • Defeat three Team GO Rocket Grunts for three Hyper Potions
  • Catch one Shadow Pokémon for three Revives

Rewards: 10 Razz Berries, 10 Nanab Berries, 10 Pinap Berries

Step Two

  • Catch five Shadow Pokémon for a Sun Stone
  • Make three Nice Curveball Throws in a row for 15 Great Balls
  • Catch ten Flying type Pokémon for a Doduo* encounter

Rewards: 10 Mega Pidgeot Energy, 1,500 XP, 500 Stardust

Step Three

  1. Purify five Shadow Pokémon for 30 Mega Pidgeot Energy
  2. Defeat five Team GO Rocket Grunts for 30 Mega Pidgeot Energy
  3. Earn three Candies walk with your Buddy Pokémon for 30 Mega Pidgeot Energy

Rewards: Rocket Radar, Pidgeot encounter, 2,000 XP

Step Four

  1. Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Arlo for 1,250 XP
  2. Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Cliff for 1,250 XP
  3. Defeat Team Go Rocket Leader Sierra for 1,250 XP

Rewards: Super Rocket Radar, 2,500 XP, 1,000 Stardust

Make not that the Super Rocket Radar reward can be used to track down Team Go Rocket Bosses such as Goivanni. This gives you a chance to catch shadow pokemons such as Shadow Ho-Oh.

Step Five

  1. Find the Team Go Rocket Boss for five Max Potions
  2. Battle the Team Go Rocket Boss for 20 Ultra Balls
  3. Defeat the Team Go Rocket Boss for five Max Revives

Rewards: Fast TM, Charged TM, 3,000 XP

Step Six

  1. Autocompleted for 2,000 XP.
  2. Autocompleted for 2,000 XP.
  3. Autocompleted for 2,000 XP.

Rewards: Premium Battle Pass, two Golden Razz Berries, two Silver Pinap Berries
