Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remastered New Skaters Include Riley Hawk, Nyjah Huston and Lizzie Armanto

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remastered will feature new skaters to the updated classics, according to a press release.

The Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise has been touted as a beloved game by players ever since its debut in 1999. A copy of the game was found next to almost every early Gen console as its great soundtrack and gameplay were conducive to infinite amounts of fun. This new remastered edition slated for a September 4, 2020 release has old fans feeling nostalgic and new fans excited to experience it for the first time.

Playing as some of your favorite skaters back in the day was part of the fun and the developers recognized that, adding a list of contemporary skaters that will be playable in the new game. Joining the original crew in the remastered version will be Nyjah Huston, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Aori Nishimura, Lizzie Armanto, Shane O'Neill, Riley Hawk and Tyshawn Jones.

Michelle Bresaw, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Activision, says this decision was made because "Modern-day skateboarding originated from a generation of skaters who grew up playing the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater...the world-class pro skaters we're adding to this remaster took the tricks and combos from the video game and made them possible in real life."

The world of skating has evolved and the new lineup of skaters will be bringing their own signature tricks to the game in addition to the old-school tricks old fans will remember. And, not to worry! Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater will be returning to the remaster with an option to share parks and skaters with friends online.

The base game will be available worldwide for $39.99, with a digital deluxe version priced at $49.99, and a collector's edition available for $99.99.
