Tracer rounds arrived in Valorant Patch 1.02, but only in Spike Rush and under specific conditions. Here's what you need to know about the new feature.

Tracer Rounds Valorant: Riot Games Adds Tracer Orb to Spike Rush

Riot Games added the Tracer Orb to Valorant's game mode Spike Rush in Patch 1.02. Players can find the new orb on the map as usual, and picking it up will buff their teammates. The Tracer Orb grants all players on the team of the player who picked it up double wall penetration damage. It also reveals enemies for 0.75 seconds when they're shot.

The buffs last the entire round.

The orb is designed to empower players to wall bang opponents as effectively as possible by both highlighting enemies behind walls and upping the damage dealt through walls.

The ability to highlight enemies is what has Valorant players referring to rounds fired with the Tracer Orb as tracer rounds.
