The Umbrella merge conflict error keeps popping up and it's annoying fans left and right. Call of Duty recently showcased a special event called Alpha, this event grants PlayStation 4 players early access to play multiplayer matches for the upcoming seventeenth installment of the franchise, Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War.

With many players around the world pre-downloading the update for the event or logging on at the same time to play matches with friends and create content for their channels, there was bound to be some sort of server issues from everyone trying to get online to play at the same time.

Umbrella Merge Conflict: How to Fix

Many players experienced different types of issues when they tried to log on and play the multiplayer event. The main issue that many players faced, besides the common error codes or classic lobby is not joinable bug was the umbrella merge conflict. When coming across this, there was not much players could do when this annoying message would pop up on their screens, except to just restart their games and hope that the game resolved the bug itself.

For some, they did not even get a chance to play day one of the Alpha release at all. Which is really sad considering that the Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Alpha event revealed five new maps. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved soon.
