Underhollow Dota 2 is Valve's multiplayer online battle arena's take on the battle royale genre. The game mode was originally made available exclusively to owners of the The International 2018 Battle Pass. Here's what you need to know about it.
Underhollow Dota 2: What You Need to Know
In Underhollow, eight teams of three players each battle on a maze-like map in search of Roshefort, Roshan's rarest cheese. The last team standing wins the round. Dead allies can be revived to half health and mana unless an enemy player spends 20 seconds clicking on their gravestone. A team is defeated when all its players are dead.
Racking up enemy kills allows players to harvest their items and gold.
Occasionally, an "Eye of Roshan" will appear and give both ground vision and True Sight.
Each room in the maze is different, offering NPCs to kill, traps to avoid, and plenty more.
Underhollow was one of the most complex takes on battle royale to be released during that genre's popularity peak, and it's mostly faded into obscurity since then.
