Valorant’s invalid access to memory location has been a pop-up error message for some players. This error is not as simple as exiting and reentering the game. Instead, this is much more of an issue with the compatibility with Windows servers than Valorant itself. But this guide will provide some troubleshooting methods to fix this issue.

Valorant Invalid Access to Memory Location

Deleting Temporary Files

By clearing the temporary files, the space that the files occupied will be empty and won’t conflict with Valorant’s program anymore.

  1. Access the run application by hitting Windows (Start) key and R, or search in the Windows search bar ‘run’.
  2. There should be a small rectangular box that says ‘Run’, in the white box, type %temp%, then hit ‘okay’.
  3. Select all the files listed and delete them.
  4. Or, if the following steps don’t work, search in the Windows search bar ‘C:’ and select ‘open file location’ by right clicking on the program. Then right click again on the program, select properties, and a screen should pop-up with the option ‘Disk Cleanup’, press that option and then hit ‘Okay’.
  5. Restart computer.

Update Drivers

Outdated drivers can cause the error message to pop-up, so to prevent this issue update the driver through the following:

  1. Access the run application by hitting Windows (Start) key and R, or search in the Windows search bar ‘run’.
  2. Type in the run application ‘devmgmt.msc’ and then press ‘OK’.
  3. A device manager screen may pop-up, go through all the major drivers like sound, display, disk, and USB drivers, and update them.
  4. Click on ‘Search automatically for updated drivers software’.
  5. Once completed, restart computer.
