Riot Games revealed the Valorant Lotus changes coming in Episode 8, and so far, they look like massive improvements.

As Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 approaches, the developers are providing an in-depth look at the changes coming in the new update. Not only did they confirm the return of Icebox and the removal of Haven, but they have now posted images of the new and improved Lotus. It is no secret that Lotus was a flawed map, but with changes to every site, the map promises a more balanced play style.

Here's a breakdown of all the changes hitting Lotus in Patch 8.0.

Valorant Lotus Changes for Episode 8 Detailed

Check out all the Valorant Lotus changes coming in Episode 8 below.

A Hut and B Site

A Hut is now closed off with only a front opening. A Link has also been expanded, giving players another deep corner to sit in at A. Plus, the developers added a few boxes so players can lock down the site with new angles.

The door from B Site has also been moved to the right, opening up a space on the left side of the door for players to tuck themselves into. Now, attackers must check both corners.

Additionally, Riot Games tightened the boundaries for where players can plant the spike in B Site. The spike can no longer be planted in the corner next to the boxes. Instead, defenders can now wait in that space to catch some attackers off guard.

C Site and C Bend

The C Site planting area is the biggest change on Lotus. Now, players can plant the spike down the stairs, which have been converted into a ramp. The area by C Hall is no longer a viable spot to plant.

The stairs have been moved to the bottom of the new ramp, connecting C Site to C Bend. The open space now features four boxes stacked alongside the pillar. Those looking to plant the spike down the ramp must now be aware of the new jump spot.
