Valorant Patch 1.08: Raze Nerf
Despite consistent nerfs to her kit over the course of several patches, players still complain about being too OP. The changes this time have been applied to her Blast Pack. Its initial damage has been decreased to 15 with a drop off outside of a .2m radius and a minimum damage of 5.
Once dropped the satchel arms after .5 seconds increasing its max damage to 50. The Blast Pack will now explode when shot, causing it to deal its current damage amount. The satchel will also no longer damage allies. These changes have been made to try and promote counter play and increase clarity on when the Blast Pack is a threat without limiting the utility applications of the ability.
Valorant Patch 1.08: Guardian Buffs
The Guardian has received a much asked for buff as well. Its rate of fire has been increased from 4.75 to 5.25 rounds per second. Its price has been decreased from 2500 to 2400 and its recovery time has been decreased from .35 seconds to .29. Riot Games is trying to set up the Guardian as a good economic choice in opposition to the Vandal or Phantom. It's a good time to try and pick up the Guardian right now, especially with it being one of the recipients of a new Ego skin.
Valorant Patch 1.08: Map Randomization Changes
Map randomization has also been adjusted in the new update. Now, the map that was previously played on will be prioritized by the algorithm when selecting a new map, hopefully this means you won't be forced to play on the same map back to back as often.
