Valve plans to choose Major partners at least a year in advance of the events. As a result, both 2020 partners will be chosen by the end of June. Proposals for 2021 are also being accepted, though decisions will come later.
Majors will take place across two weeks as opposed to their usual three, forcing organizers to double-stream more matches during the Swiss stages.
While locations have yet to be nailed down, Valve did remind organizers to aim for timezones convenient for the majority of CS:GO viewers. The company highlighted a 9 p.m. Central European Time slot as primetime.
The next Major, StarLadder Berlin, is set to take place from Aug. 20 to Sept. 8.
