A Warzone update applied to live servers Thursday, Aug. 5 brought a handful of changes to a pair of guns, making the Krig 6 a little less effective and bumping the power level of the CX-9.

The Krig 6, a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War assault rifle, had its lower torso damage multiplier decreased from 1.1 to 1, and its maximum damage range decreased from 1,500 to 1,400. These changes amount to a fairly straightforward decrease in the gun's effectiveness, especially at range. This may make it a less effective competitor in the long-range department when compared to the C58.

The CX-9, a Modern Warfare submachine gun Raven Software added to Warzone as the last new weapon for Season 4, has its mid damage range increased from 20 to 21. It also had its headshot damage multiplier increased from 1.4 to 1.45. As a result, the CX-9 will more forcefully reward players who wield it with precision, especially at mid-ranges.

These weapon changes were the only adjustments included in the update. Raven Software didn't provide the reasoning behind the changes the way it would have in a larger update.
