A Call of Duty: Warzone player has revealed the potential of the Deployable Cover equipment as a counter to enemy vehicles trying to run over your and your teammates.
The Deployable Cover isn't one of the most widely used pieces of equipment in Warzone. Its use case — being caught out in the open with nothing to hide behind — is obviated by smart positioning and movement. But it does have its uses, as Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit user u/bLouGoo demonstrates in this clip posted to the subreddit Friday.
In the clip, bLouGoo is minding their own business on Caldera when a Big Bertha carrying enemy players tries to rum them over. Just as the Bertha is about to introduce its bumper to bLouGoo's forehead, they whip out the Deployable Cover. The Bertha slams into the new obstacle and stops dead in its tracks, giving bLouGoo the chance to unload on the enemy riding in the back.
Before the Bertha can get clear, bLouGoo has downed the passenger with their primary weapon before swapping over to a sniper rifle to finish the job as the Bertha speeds away.
This trick works on a razor's edge, as deploying the cover just a moment too late will mean being pancaked by the truck driver, and too early will give them the chance to dodge the collision. But if you can time it correctly, this is a hilarious and satisfying counter to splatter-happy enemy drivers.
