Warzone Grau nerf has finally arrived in Call of Duty's newest update after much patience from their community waiting to see Warzone's most powerful rifle adjusted.

What many players have just considered to be a laser over recent weeks, the Grau 5.56 is a rifle that has no weaknesses. The weapon is strong by itself, but with a few select attachments, can win a sniper battle if you're fast enough. Players have described the weapon as unfair, giving how easy the high-damage dealing weapon is to control. It became one of the most prominent weapons in the game where as long as a player had unlocked the weapon, they were probably running it in their go-to loadout.

Warzone Grau Nerf Leads Weapon Changes in Call of Duty Warzone Update

The Grau nerf, at first glance, looks to be a change that will eliminate its overpowered tendencies and remove it as an instant first choice. There are three changes and they are as follows:

  • Damage range reduction
  • Slight increase to high frequency recoil
  • Reduced recoil compensation and decreased range on Tempus 26.4" Archangel and FSS 20.8" Nexus barrels

These three changes focus on eliminating how powerful the weapon is at long-ranges. Players will now have a lot more trouble spraying snipers off the top of a building, or engaging fights that should be out of an assault rifle's range. The barrel changes are equally important here as well. These barrels were what gave the Grau 5.56 its "laser-like" qualities.
