Warzone Hackers Make Verdansk Battle Royale Impossible Players Claim

Players have been disappointed with the state of Call of Duty: Warzone claiming that the game is no longer accessible for casual players. A post on the Warzone subreddit sparked the discussion with commenters echoing the difficulty issues within the game.

One Reddit user described the battle royale mode as being too difficult, with their team being wiped out from all directions almost immediately. "Hiding is useless, shooting first is useless etc. We're just constantly struggling." they explained. Comments on the thread were quick to point out that Cold War Assault Rifles were largely to blame for this problem with the weapons having zero recoil. This has allowed players to take out opponents from extreme distances regardless of their recoil handling skill.

The user highlighted their frustration, saying that you "really cant tell if you're dealing with hackers or just brilliant players."

Casual players are often at a disadvantage when it comes to Warzone. Since its release in March 2020, regular Warzone players have had plenty of time to perfect their tactics. For many, the line between great players and hackers has become blurred and, coupled with the low-recoil Assault Rifles, have left many in the casual player base feeling discouraged.

Some users disagreed with the claim that the game was too difficult for casual players. Reddit user Konfliction said "If the game is too hard for casuals, guns with aggressive recoil patterns would make it even harder for casuals to be able to at least compete."

For some, better recoil might help level the playing field by forcing opponents to rely on skill. But for those who might not have the time to sink into Warzone, is Verdansk completely unplayable?
