Warzone Halloween Event Gulag: What's New?
The most fundamental change to the Gulag can be found in the new BR Trick-or-Trios playlist.
While the core Battle Royale and Plunder: Blood Money game modes offer Warzone players the standard Gulag experience complete with daylight shining through a sewer grate, the Halloween event modes switch it up.
Thanks to the nighttime change of Verdansk, players who are thrown into the Gulag fire in this mode will need to defeat their enemies under a spooky blue haze backdrop with less lighting.
In the Zombie Royale LTM, the respawn-after-death game mechanic in Warzone isn't handled by the Gulag. Instead, operators who die in this mode turn into zombies, and must pick up two antiviral syringes in order to have another shot at a Warzone victory.
Some background storytelling has also been shed on the Gulag thanks to the Halloween event.
One is an easter egg where players can see red souls lost from the Gulag flying in the night sky right above the Prison POI.
Another piece of information tied to the Gulag's history was revealed by the Dr. Karlov Lives bundle. The mad doctor reportedly became obsessed with testing electricity and energy-charged weaponry on unlucky victims after encountering countless failures in his laboratory deep inside the Gulag.
