Warzone map changes and the return of scrapyard were teased in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 trailer.

It's been assumed that something is going to happen to Verdansk, Warzone's map, in Season 4 amid rumors and leaks surrounding the bunkers and hidden content players have been finding. Combined with rumors that the next Call of Duty title is Black Ops Cold War, fans are convinced something major is coming.

There's dialogue between series favorites Ghost and Captain Price about how there's something wrong in Verdansk. While it sounds familiar to the original Call of Duty Warzone teaser, the hint at the end that a new mission is coming gives fans the idea that map changes are coming.

The battle royale genre is no stranger to map changes with Fortnite, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS and Apex Legends all experiencing map changes during seasonal changes. What those changes actually are for Warzone remains to be seen.

The Scrapyard teaser was easy to catch for some and for others it was right under their noses. At the end of the trailer, an image shows Captain Price behind Season Four and a June 3 release date. Looking closer at the Season Four text reveals an overview of Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2. One of the most popular maps in the franchise's history, it's already returned in an altered version as Boneyard in Warzone.

It seems Scrapyard is the next retro map to be revamped for Modern Warfare multiplayer.
