The newest Call of Duty (COD): Warzone map will take players to the Pacific coast later this year.

COD fans were treated to a glimpse of the brand new map during the reveal of the Vanguard multiplayer on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The map includes a sprawling tropical forest, a mountain peak sporting an assortment of human developments leading up its sides, rivers carved through rocky hills with hanging moss, misty waterfalls, tall palm trees, and a sizable ocean shore.

Warzone Pacific Map Release Date Revealed?

Unfortunately, there is no concrete release date for the Pacific map in Warzone. According to a statement taken by charlieINTEL from Aaron Halon, head of Sledgehammer Games, the map will drop "later this year."

As the source points out, "this year" is rapidly approaching its last few months, meaning players could be able to walk the sunny shores of Call of Duty's brand new Pacific island within the next three months. Vanguard, itself, is set for a Nov. 5 release date.

It's no secret that Vanguard's launch will also initiate a massive content annex for Warzone. Could this map be shipped alongside it?

The Pacific Island will be the third map installation to Warzone—the other two being the primary location, Verdansk, and Raven Software's Rebirth Island. DBLTAP cannot confirm the size of the island nor if players will have the entire island to explore.

Regardless, it looks incredible, and will likely give players a much-needed change of scenery after staring at the same skyline for almost two years.
