Warzone Players Beg for Krampus Nerf

Some Warzone players have been having issues with Krampus in the Festive Fervor event.

As part of the holiday features for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific, Festive Fervor has seen players earn some exclusive rewards during the limited-time event. All sorts of seasonal features have been added to the game, such as elves, Holiday Crates, and reskins. But one feature seems to be causing a bit of a stir in the Warzone community - Krampus.

In Warzone specifically, Krampus tends to stalk his victims at random, though those who find coal in a Holiday Crate have a greater chance of running into him. The problem, though, is that he's pretty hard to take down. His relentlessness has become an issue for many players, particularly in regular matches, who think the creature is a tad overpowered. Some have said that you can pretty much count your game as being over if he starts to hunt you.

Because of this, many players have been calling on Raven Software to nerf the mythical creature so that they can get their matches back on track.

Players have taken to Reddit to post their struggles with the game's addition of Krampus. In a post to the COD Warzone subreddit, user leanlikeakickstand said of the creature, "It has seemingly more health than a god damn juggernaut and it’s almost a guarantee that your game is over if you get him."

"It will give away your position to every surrounding team and while you’re fighting a seemingly invincible teleporting enemy you’ll be third partied and there goes your game."

Other commentors were quick to share their experiences with Krampus. User blackflagnirvana said, "me and my team got a win after killing Krampus, this team starting shooting at us, we had to kill them and Krampus at the same time it was intense."

Others saw the funny side, however, saying "Plot Twist: Krampus is the Ricochet Anti-cheat."

It's unclear if Raven Software will be addressing the issues with Krampus as things start to wind down for the Holidays. But, even if they don't, it's worth remembering that Krampus is only part of a limited-time mode. It won't be long until things are back to normal in Caldera and Rebirth Island.
