Activision has officially revealed the content roadmap for Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 ahead of next week’s launch.
Season 4, which is titled "Mercenaries of Fortune," will be live in both games on June 22. A Vanguard update is scheduled for 12 p.m ET on that Wednesday, with a Warzone update scheduled 24 hours later.
Warzone Season 4 Roadmap
The highlights for the upcoming Season 4 Vanguard update are two new maps, the debut of Vanguard's game mode "Blueprint Gun Game," and the return of the classic World at War Zombies experience "Shi No Numa."
The USS Texas 1945 map, a reimagined version of the U.S.S. Texas map from Call of Duty: WWII, will be available on launch. The second new map, Desolation, will be made available mid-season.
According to Activision, Blueprint Gun Game is all about showing your mastery with a diverse weapon set, making it the perfect means of training up your weapon skills across the board. The first player to navigate through all 18 weapons wins.
Lastly, Shi No Numa is back in Call of Duty for the first time in 13 years. The World at War Zombies experience features a new main quest and side quests, a new Wonder Weapon quest, fresh intel, and more.
In addition to these highlights a new Ranked Season will be live in Vanguard as well. The update will be available at noon on June 22.
CoD's newest Warzone map, Fortune’s Keep, will co-exist with Caldera and Rebirth Island, with the three maps available via regular weekly playlist rotation. The new Warzone Resurgence map looks a bit larger than Rebirth Island,
Fortune’s Keep introduces a Black Market Run Contract that rewards players with access to special Buy Stations. These house exclusive items including the Sequencer Grenade, the Nebula V Minigun and Foresight. Cash Extraction will also feature on the new map as well.
Season 4 will also include changes to Caldera, including new POIs, a new Golden Plunder mode, and a midseason update set to bring more changes.
New Weapons and Operators
Four new weapons will also make their debut to both Warzone and Vanguard this upcoming season:
- Vargo-S (In-Season)
- Push Dagger (Launch Window)
- UGM-8 (Launch)
- Marco 5 (Launch)
You can unlock both the Marco 5 and the UGM-8 for free through the Seasonal Battle Pass System.
Lastly, three new operators arrive in Season 4. The legendary Captain Butcher will be available on launch, and new operators Callum Hendry and Ikenna Olowe will arrive sometime during the season
The Warzone Season 4 update will launch on June 23 at 12 p.m ET.
