With the launch of Season 6 in Warzone, players are quickly discovering that two Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons have been added to the battle royale's armory — the M1 Garand and STG 44.
Seemingly added into the game unannounced in the Season 6 patch notes, the M1 Garand tactical rifle and STG 44 assault rifle can be viewed now in Warzone, but remain locked with no new challenges available. As such, it appears players aren't supposed to be able to use them at the moment, at least not officially yet. For those looking to rock the two World War II-era guns in-game extremely early, here's how to unlock the unreleased M1 Garand and STG 44 with a simple Call of Duty: Warzone glitch.
Warzone Season 6 Glitch Lets Players Use the Unreleased Vanguard M1 Garand and STG 44
Essentially, the method is an exploit of the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade. For some reason, Raven Software added the M1 Garand and STG 44 into the randomized loot pool for the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade, allowing players to equip them in Verdansk '84 and Rebirth Island early.
To spawn and use an M1 Garand or STG 44 in your Season 6 Warzone games:
- Join any Warzone game mode that has the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade
- Find a Weapon Drop Field Upgrade off the ground or from a box
- Interact with the Weapon Drop Field Upgrade and claim a weapon
- If you don’t get the M1 Garand or STG 44 on your first try, eliminate yourself, head back over to the Weapon Drop location and repeat the process until you get lucky
To speed up step four, it is recommended that players ditch their Weapon Drop Field Upgrade and grab a Munitions Box or Armor Box so that when you respawn, you won't have to wait for the weapon drop to recharge.
Keep in mind that you can use a Weapon Drop Field Upgrade on two different lives before it breaks and you have to find another one.
