A Call of Duty: Warzone and Terminator collaboration has been teased by Activision on the official Call of Duty Twitter account.

Warzone Season 4, titled Mercenaries of Fortune, is set to release June 22 for both the battle royale title and Call of Duty: Vanguard. Season 4 is set to bring a load of map improvements to Caldera and a new Resurgence map called Fortune's Keep. Gold has been a prevalent theme throughout promotional images for the new update, but a recent post teased an upcoming collaboration with science fiction franchise The Terminator.

A picture of a pile of gold bars with one "silver" bar was tweeted out and then later updated to reveal Skynet's branding on the lone piece of metal. The subtext reads Mimetic Polyalloy which immediately revealed a collaboration upcoming with The Terminator.

The Terminator is one of the most popular science fiction/action/horror franchises in modern media. The titular character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger became an icon for his catchphrase, "I'll Be Back." The Terminator has also appeared in other video game franchises such as Mortal Kombat.

Fans hope this collaboration leads to multiple Terminator skins. One modeled after Schwarzenegger's popular T-800, perhaps Robert Patrick's T-1000, possibly Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor plus Michael Biehn's Kyle Reese would make for an awesome bundle of skins. This is a stretch, but a PvE mode in Warzone where players have to take on hoards of Terminators would be an awesome crossover in-game event.
