After weeks of speculation, Call of Duty: Warzone is finally here. But before you jump into the action, here are five ways to improve your play.
Warzone Tips: 5 Ways to Improve Your Play
Use Sound to Your Advantage
Sound is crucial in a game like Warzone so it is time to turn up your game volume. Similar to Fortnite, players can hear Loot crates. These glowing chests make a humming noise and contain weapons that may be of use to you. It is also important to listen for enemy footsteps. This is crucial in any FPS title because the sound of an enemies footsteps give away their location and make for an easy kill. If you can't hear the game, you may miss an enemy or be caught in what could've been an avoidable situation if you just had your sound up a little higher.
Make Note of the Rarity List
White is common, green is uncommon, blue is rare, purple is epic, orange is legendary, and red is custom. Obviously an orange gun will be more valuable than a white so always make sure you are looting for the best equipment available. Whether that means changing your landing spot or just being more mindful about the tier list, it is important to continuously be on the hunt for a better item. Know your strengths and your weaknesses too because that can also determine the value of an item. If you can't snipe, a purple sniper will be less valuable than a green M4A1. Ping it for one of your teammates instead.
Ping System is Your Best Friend
Ping an enemy, ping a location, ping an item. Just keep the communication going between you and your teammates. By communicating more, your team will become more efficient and likely more successful all around. Use the Ping System to Complete challenges and objectives to earn killstreaks, drop kits, and team revives. And don't forget about the mini map. It is one of the most important items in your inventory and it never goes away. Take advantage of it because it is your lifeline.
Create a Great Loadout
To create the best possible loadout for your player, know what type of player you are. If you are better at long range engagements, equip an LMG or a Sniper with Overkill and an AR/SMG secondary. To get your custom loadout you have to receive it from a Loadout Crate dropped in the Warzone map throughout the game. It's a free-for-all so you have to pick up loot and be prepared to fight for your custom loadout.
Level Up Your 1-vs-1 Game
When you're down, you're not out. You are placed in a 1v1 arena where you are tasked with killing another player to earn a respawn back into the game. This is only a one time thing so if you are successful and are downed again, you won't be able to join your team a third time. Make the most out of this second chance and play smart. Don't challenge a fight you have no chance of winning and use cover to your advantage. Push as a team and implement bait and switch strategies to outsmart the other team.
