With Warzone Pacific and Fortnite Chapter 3 having just been released this week, it's safe to say that this is one of the greatest times to game for those who enjoy their fair share of battle royale action.

While both games seem to be killing at the moment in terms of delivering loads of new content to shake up their respective experiences, it's also a great time to reflect on just how popular these titles have remained in the past year. Here's a breakdown of the Warzone vs. Fortnite player count battle of 2021.

Warzone vs. Fortnite Player Count 2021

Unfortunately, it's generally tough to get a clear, exact official number of the player counts of games, especially in the case of these two free-to-play titles as Activision and Epic Games often don't share their player data for Warzone and Fortnite outside of when they hit new milestones.

According to Statista, the number of players for Call of Duty: Warzone worldwide was about 100 million as of April 2021, while Fortnite amassed 350 million players across the globe as of May 2020.

Meanwhile, Statista also reports that Fortnite had 94.1 million hours watched on Twitch, while Warzone logged 101 million hours on Twitch in that same time frame.

According to PlayerCounter, Fortnite has 2,710,699 players online while Warzone has 329,491 concurrent at the time of writing (4:55 p.m. ET).

With all this in mind, it's pretty safe to say that both games are still extremely popular, especially for content creators and their audiences.

However, as can be expected, Fortnite still seems to be in another league of its own worldwide as there are millions of players on the game no matter the time of day.
