What amiibo work with Skyward Sword?

Exclusive to Nintendo's ecosystem of titles, amiibo are interactive figures and cards that work with compatible Switch, -+ame, amiibo can be used to unlock new modes, weapons or character customizations and more. Here's the rundown of what amiibo work with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD.

What amiibo Work With Skyward Sword?

There's only one figure that is compatible with the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD—the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo.

For $24.99 USD, the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo figure invites players to "fly high."

Scanning this amiibo figure from anywhere on the surface world in-game will allow Link to quickly travel to the sky—even within the depths of a dungeon. Players can then scan it again above the clouds to return to the same spot on the surface.

In the original Skyward Sword released 10 years ago on the Nintendo Wii, traveling to the sky and back was only available at save points. With this new amiibo, however, players can fast travel at will.

Unfortunately, in addition to the special-edition Skyward Sword Joy-Cons, the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo figure appeared to have already sold out just about everywhere within minutes on going live on July 16.

The Zelda & Loftwing amiibo seems to be listed as in stock on Amazon, but is being sold by a third-party source at an inflated price of $113.95.

A large reason for this is that only a small portion of the Zelda & Loftwing figures were made available Friday.

According to IGN, Nintendo confirmed that the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo was impacted by unforeseen shipping delays, and that additional shipments of the figure are delayed until August.
