What does PUBG stand for? PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is the name of the grand daddy battle royale game created by PUBG Corp and Bluehole.
Brendan Greene created this game to be a more realistic and better operating DayZ game. At launch it was a massive success and perfectly captured the feeling of you versus an army. It seemed nothing was going to stop it until everyone else wanted a piece of the pie.

What Does PUBG Stand for?
PUBG stands for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. The name stems from the creator Greene, better known as PLAYERUKNOWN. The game was his battleground, so to speak, and the short form version of the name followed.
As for why it's all caps? That one we can't answer...
