What is a Clear in Rocket League? Players have been wondering since the game went free-to-play.
Since the title went free-to-play on Sept. 23 there has been an influx of new players all throughout Rocket League. Seeing that a lot of new players are hitting the arena, it's a good time to review some of the basic fundamentals of Rocket League.
If you're in a game chat and see or hear someone mention the word clear, they're referring to a defensive maneuver. Clearing is simply knocking the ball out of your own defensive end and away into a safer area up the pitch.
What is a Clear in Rocket League?
A clear is an important move as it can be a temporary relief when your team is under pressure, giving you a chance to reorganize and keep the ball away from your goal. Additionally, it can be used to kill time and hold on to a lead in late-game circumstances.
Remember there will be a ton of new players out there learning the ropes, so for an experienced player Rocket League may require some teaching, as well playing these days.
