What is Mini Royale Warzone?
Players have been wondering what to expect from the Mini Royale game mode in Call of Duty: Warzone. Both Cold War and Warzone receive weekly playlist updates on Thursdays, and the latest release brought back Mini Royale, which has been introduced a few times in the past.
Warzone's April 8 playlist update introduced a few changes. It removed King Slayer (Verdansk), Plunder Trios, and Resurgence Duos (Rebirth Island). The update also introduced Resurgence Quads (Rebirth Island), Plunder Quads, and Mini Royale Trios (Verdansk).
What is Mini Royale in Warzone?
Mini Royale is essentially a lighter version of the traditional Battle Royale mode in Warzone. While the traditional mode features 150 players, the Mini Royale game mode hosts 75.
Players drop into Verdansk in teams of three. There is also the option to jump into the action solo, but those going for the lone wolf route will have to face off three-man squads regardless. Another unique feature of this game mode is that the storm circle has already shrunk prior to deployment, limiting the amount of space that players have to work with.
When comparing Mini Royale to the original Battle Royale mode, there are no other changes aside from the smaller lobby and reduced map size. Mini Royale is essentially a faster-paced version of Warzone's most popular game mode.
