What Time Does the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Go Live?

With the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, a collection of classic Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games will be available to play. Here's when the expansion is set to go live.

During the September Nintendo Direct, a new expansion to the Nintendo Switch Online service was announced. The announcement revealed that long awaited Nintendo 64 games would be making a comeback via the service, along with some classic SEGA Genesis games. The majority of details were kept under wraps at the time of the announcement but, as the weeks went by, more information soon trickled out.

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack is set to release on Oct. 26, in Europe and Japan, suggesting that the US release should be happening later this evening. While the official release time has yet to be announced, there are some strong hints as to when players can expect to see it go live.

What Time Does the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Go Live?

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack will seemingly go live around 10 p.m. ET. This timing is based off of Nintendo's maintenence schedule, with Nintendo Switch Online set to be offline between 7p.m. and 10 p.m. ET.

The Nintendo eShop is also scheduled for downtime between 8 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. ET.

At launch, subscribers will have access to a number of Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games, including:

  • Golden Axe
  • Contra: Hard Corps
