When are solos and duos coming back to Apex Legends? The question is an important one ever since duos left Apex Legends servers.

Other battle royales usually have squads of four and give players a chance to play with one, two, or a full squad. Apex Legends went in a different direction. The game focuses a tight-knit squad of three and players can only queue for a three-person squad match. You can't queue for a solo team or a duo team unless Respawn Entertainment is using a special game mode.

When are Solos and Duos Coming Back to Apex Legends?

Prior to the Iron Crown event in August, we had not received a solos mode in Apex Legends. The developers revealed that they were taking feedback on if the mode would return in a future LTM or as a permanent fixture.

We later got a The Fight or Fright event which was a special version of a solo queue. Players were able to solo queue and play by themselves, but the mode wasn't a typical battle royale match.

We saw a duos queue back in November and it was highly welcomed by the community. Fans quickly went to Reddit to let Respawn know they want duos back. We don't know when it will finally return, but the game desperately needs the other queue modes.
