With the days counting down until the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, it's perhaps no surprise that many are wondering when exactly they can start downloading the game.
Here's a breakdown of everything you need about when you can download Warzone 2.
When Can I Download Warzone 2?
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Battle.net and Steam) on Nov. 16, 2022. This is indeed the same day as the launch of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, which will bring a separate major update to the pay-to-pay game.
Unfortunately, at the time of publication, Activision and Infinity Ward have yet to go any further in revealing the launch details of Warzone 2, including anything having to with pre-loading. Additionally, since Warzone 2 will be a standalone, free-to-play game that includes the all-new DMZ experience and traditional battle royale modes, there aren't any pre-order options for the title on any of its planned platforms.
For now, we'd expect the download details for Warzone 2 to be announced closer to its launch. For reference, Activision revealed the launch details for MW2 10 days before its respective release, with pre-loading for the full game only being made available less than 24 hours of the full title going live.
We'll update this story once more information on the topic is released, so be sure to check back soon.
