God of War Ragnarök's release is on its way. But when can it be pre-loaded?

For those who have pre-ordered the game on both PlayStation 4 and 5, pre-loading is possible to get the opportunity to play the game immediately on its release date. Several editions of the game are currently purchasable, including the Digital Deluxe, Collector's, and Jotnar editions, all including the option to pre-load the game.

When Can I Pre-Load God of War Ragnarök?

As of Nov. 2, players who have pre-ordered the game can pre-load it onto their consoles. The download sizes for PlayStation 4 and 5 are 106 and 84GB respectively, so the process may take some time. For those who have yet to pre-order the game, pre-loading will still be available for any purchase up until the game's Nov. 9 release.

Unfortunately, as God of War Ragnarök is limited to its PlayStation release, Xbox and PC players will be unable to play the game. God of War, the prequel to Ragnarök, received a PC port four years after its initial release, leaving a presumed large time frame for those looking to play the sequel.

The standard edition of God of War Ragnarök can be pre-ordered both digitally and through retailers for $59.99 on PlayStation 4 and $69.99 on PlayStation 5. For additional prices, the Digital Deluxe, Collector's and Jotnar editions are available for both PlayStation 4 and 5.
