When did Dead by Daylight come out? The popular asymmetric survival horror game was released on June 14, 2016 and is still played today. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer game where one player plays as the killer while the other four players must work together in order to survive and escape.

In Dead by Daylight, the four survivors play in third-person while the killer plays as first-person. To escape and survive, survivors can use items in order to stun or bind the killer, unlock abilities that aid in escaping and environmental items. In order to escape, survivors must turn on five generators spread out across the map.

The killer on the other hand has different abilities in order to kill and sacrifice as many survivors as they can. Killers can track and sense survivors and have both long and short-ranged attacks in order to capture survivors.

Behaviour Interactive has featured multiple crossovers, introducing different survivor and killer characters. Recently, Dead by Daylight introduced survivors Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, along with a new killer, Nemesis. There has also been a Stranger Things crossover with Steve and Nancy being survivors and a Demogorgon as a killer.

Dead by Daylight has been out for over five years and players enjoy playing the horror game with friends. However, players have voiced that they have a love-hate relationship with the game. On Reddit, Dead by Daylight players have said that the overall idea and concept of the game is extremely fun, yet the content of the game is a bit dull.

Players mentioned that many of the characters in the game are dull while the gameplay is repetitive and similar. However, the game is still enjoyable for many players to play with friends. Players hope to see more diverse survivors, killers and objectives in the future.
